Financial reporting

Voluntary audits of annual financial statements and consolidated financial statements

The Packaging Act (Verpackungsgesetz, VerpackG) replaced the previous Packaging Ordinance (Verpackungsverordnung) on 1 January 2019 (audit in accordance with the Packaging Act /declaration of completeness). In this connection, the LUCID Packaging Register was established to implement the VerpackG. It undertakes central tasks for this purpose, including providing a platform for the declarations of completeness.[HD1] However, other new requirements such as the obligation to register under Section 9 and the data reporting obligation under Section 10 VerpackG for manufacturers and distributors (initial distributors) are also managed by LUCID. Whom does the new law affect?

The new Packaging Act applies to all distributors who place packaging on the market for the first time on a commercial basis in Germany (so-called "producers"). Do you need a signed declaration of completeness? Please do not hesitate to contact our auditors!
